Actis has won the Crestron Integration award for Best Education project in India. Actis received this award in a ceremony held in Bangalore on Friday, July 31, 2015. The occasion was CresCONNECT 2015, hosted each year by Crestron Asia Ltd, who are leaders in the integration space. The audience and nominees had gathered to celebrate the achievements of the Audiovisual industry in India.
The award was presented to Actis for its role in setting up an integrated AV solution for a seminar hall at the Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research (TIMSR), Mumbai. This project spanned 3 to 4 months from start to finish. The client wanted a seminar hall to be set up as a large partitioned room to be used for a dual purpose – as a classroom and as a seminar hall. In order to do this, Actis set up a divisible partition and incorporated the completely automated Crestron DM solution.
This project puts together High Definition (HD) video and high-quality stereo audio signal transmission across the 256-seater Seminar hall at TIMSR. In addition, Video conferencing (VC) has been commissioned to connect to outside conference rooms campus wide. The front of the hall houses two 109” projection screens and there are four 55” displays placed strategically, so that students can easily view presentations at multiple locations.
There is also a prefunction area, where speakers and students can gather for a break. In this area too, Actis set up a projector and screen, so that everyone can see what is going on in the main seminar hall.
