Control multiple devices securely without outside intrusion or interference

Increasingly, customers are demanding that AV solutions providers factor in network security when setting up dedicated AV networks. So, they are demanding advanced security protocols to protect and safeguard their data.

To this end, Extron Electronics has introduced the IPCP Pro 555, an IP Link Pro control processor with a dedicated AV LAN port. While all of Extron’s Pro Series control processors use advanced security protocols to safeguard data, this new IPCP Pro 555 offers the added benefit of a dedicated AV LAN port. The latter protects the AV network from intrusion and interference.

The IPCP Pro 555 can control multiple devices and signal types within AV systems requiring an isolated AV network. It features advanced security standards and dual Gigibit Ethernet ports. These ensure compatibility with multiple Touchlink Pro touchpanels through a standard network infrastructure. Also, the AV LAN controls local AV devices. This product can be used with Extron LinkLicense, which further improves upon the capabilities of the Extron Pro Series control systems.

This control processor features a DHCP server for the AV LAN, thereby streamlining system setup and management. It automatically distributes IP addresses and network configuration parameters for the AV devices connected to the local AV LAN. The AV LAN port also permits communications from the Ethernet port for remote management and firmware updates for Extron devices. It also restricts other Ethernet traffic.

The IPCP Pro 555 is configured using the Extron Global Configurator Plus or the Global Configurator Professional. These provide powerful customisation options. It is also compatible with GlobalViewer Enterprise software. This means that you can perform centralized AV resource monitoring, management, and control over a computer network.

Some of the features are:

An AV LAN Port means that AV devices are isolated from the corporate network
Ethernet monitoring and control on each Ethernet port
The AV LAN port only permits communications from the Ethernet port for remote management and firmware updates for Extron devices
Supports popular Building Management Systems (BMS) protocols

So, there you have it…A control processor that takes care of security for your corporate AV network. Do use this when you want to ensure that your data and information are protected from outside interference. Here’s to safe and secure corporate meetings!
