Sony’s PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) cameras are ideally suited for video-conferencing settings where exceptional imaging is essential, such as boardrooms, courtrooms, auditoriums and distance learning classrooms.
Actis has been appointed a national distributor for Sony’s entire range of PTZ cameras. Actis specialises in designing and building infrastructure for better management of collaboration, client engagement, training, entertainment and energy utilisation.
“With Sony’s excellent imaging capability due to our unique sensor technology we are very strongly placed in the market for Cameras,” said Shusuke Oyobe, Marketing head at PSD, Sony India. “We look forward to further strengthening and expanding our market position in India with Actis’ strong distribution network in the domain of Lecture capturing, Video Conferencing, Remote monitoring & Auditorium solutions.”
New generation models included in this range include the Sony SRG-120DH and the SRG-300H which feature stunning image quality coupled with smooth robotic control. These products, which include high definition (1080p/720p) and standard definition models, meet the varying needs of customers by offering several mounting options, optical zoom and analog/digital connectivity interfaces.
“The video conferencing performance is affected more by camera quality than by the performance of the codec – which is why we are excited to tie up with Sony who are widely acknowledged to have the best camera technology for these applications.” commented Abhimanyu Gupta, Director at Actis.
