Today, when IIM Bangalore wants to expand to Chennai, providing a seamless learning experience between two separate cities (i.e. Bangalore to Chennai) is still a challenge. For instance, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Bangalore faculty could not travel between campuses at the two locations, as often and as efficiently as necessary to meet increasing demand from new students.

Solution

Actis solutions helped create a high-tech training facility that seats 40 students and features state of the art presentation and communication aids. Actis suggested setting up identical video conferencing facilities at both Bangalore and Chennai for ‘zero- distance’ realtime interactions and sharing of electronic presentations. The Final Impression

IIM, Bangalore achieved its goal of extending the learning experience enjoyed by students at its campus in a way that transcends the borders of the institute in Bangalore. Equally important was the fact that this was achieved in a way that didn’t compel faculty to drastically alter their teaching style. The result, a distributed learning initiative was brought to life through technology that enables seamless learning across distant locations.
