An international icon amongst luxury hotels, the Taj Mahal Palace offers its visitors with various facilities and venues. It has 11 grand Banquet Rooms which are a venue for many business conferences as well as weddings parties. Recently, Actis was a part of a project to tastefully refurbish one of these elegant rooms and to upgrade it with the capability to deliver the latest in technological facilities. The objective was to make the technology unobtrusive while retaining the elegance and old-world charm so beloved of the Taj.

Solution

One key objective in the Banquet Room was to create a high-impact multimedia display that would be visible at any point in the room, no matter what the viewing angle. This was achieved by setting up 3 custom-built motorised projection screens on one wall and a single motorised projection screen at the other end of the room. A total of retract 4 ceiling-mounted, 4,000 lumen projectors on a motorised lift when not in use….

The Final Impression

International hotels have to cater to a wide range of requirements and in the case of the Taj’s iconic
banquet hall they are usually showcase events too. The result delivered by Actis is the integration of invisible state-of-the-art technology which is extremely flexible and adapts to different situations, including the need for live broadcasts.
